To Kick Off our First Annual Parks Appreciation Day, we are offering FREE Tire Recycling/Disposal for EVERYONE!

• Rubber Tires of ALL SIZES on or off Rims are Accepted!
• We request those who are Delivering Tires to assist with unloading their tires and loading tires into the recycle trailer.

We are encouraging those who Love Our Parks to participate in a volunteer cleanup at East China Park!

• Simple litter cleanup, picking up sticks and twigs, pulling weeds in our playgrounds, cleaning up parking lots, grooming the nature trails.
• What to Bring?
  • A Helping Hand! ☺️
  • Any yard maintenance tools you feel would help you with cleanup: Leaf Rakes, Brooms, Weeding Tools, Bucket for litter/weeds, Pruning Shears, etc.
  • Protective apparel such as Sun Hats, Insect Repellent, Gloves, Sunscreen, etc.
• When to Arrive?
  • Park staff will be on duty at 8:00am with an organized crew to begin about 9:00am. Volunteers are welcome to come anytime between 9:00am – 2:00pm.

REFRESHMENTS & LIGHT SNACKS

We will provide refreshments & Light Snacks for those who volunteer for the cleanup crew. (Or anyone needing a pick-me-up!)

• Please provide your own Reusable Water Bottles/Cups/Thermos’ to reduce waste.
• Please bring anything diet/allergy specific per your needs or preference for snacks (that may or may not be available/provided).
• Anyone is welcome to donate bakery/factory packaged snack items to the snack table!
• Refreshments: We will offer refreshments from “Dispensers” (This will require use of a beverage container/cup).
  • Options may be Lemonade, Water, Coffee, etc.
• Snacks: We will offer some light snacks that will require little waste.
  • Options may be Apples, Bananas, Bagels, Individual sized chips/crackers, etc.
